It Takes a Team to Photograph TEDGlobal
I get introduced a lot these days as the TED photographer. It always puts a big smile on my face. I still can’t believe that I get to shoot for one of the very best collection of conferences on the planet. But I’m always very quick to point out that it I’m one of the TED photographers. It takes more than one person to cover these huge events. It takes a team.
Here in Oxford at TEDGlobal 2010, the team includes fellow photographer Robert Leslie. He has been shooting for TED since long before my first TED event early last year. All of our card management and support needs are taken care of by the ever awesome Karen Eng. And, last but most importantly, all of our photos are edited by Mike Femia, TED’s resident full-time photo editor. He pushes photos out to press, internal photo drops, the conference website, the slideshow running on all of the monitors throughout the event, and the Flickr stream for the conference.
Let me tell you, here at Oxford this year, we’re taking names and kicking ass.
